Shipping Options
Orders are primarily shipped via UPS and may be shipped Ground, 3 Day Select, 2nd Day Air or Next Day Air. We also ship via USPS to P.O. boxes, military locations and internationally. We offer Global Express and/or UPS Express to most countries outside the USA.
Rush Services
Rush Services are available for orders placed between 9:00AM and Noon EST. Rush services guarantee same day shipping of overnight and international UPS Express orders placed during this time frame. Overnight and international UPS Express orders placed before 9:00AM ship that day at no additional charge.
Saturday Delivery
Saturday delivery is only available to USA locations supported by this service via UPS.
Fulfillment Times
Fulfillment time is the time it takes to process your order. Orders are placed immediately into our system for processing and depending on the warehouse the items are shipping from and the time of year may take between 8 to 72 hours to process. The fulfillment time is not included in the shipping time (i.e. 3 day select) but is included in our estimated arrival date.
Shipping Rates and Countries
Costumes Inc ships to all countries and locations accessible either by UPS or USPS. To find the cost of shipping to your country please visit our shipping rates page.
Shipping Times and Guarantees
Shipping times do not include the day you place your order, weekends, holidays or fulfillment time. Costumes Inc will provide an estimated arrival date for orders shipped in the USA via UPS. Orders shipped via USPS mail do not have guaranteed delivery dates. International orders shipped Global Express and UPS Express are guaranteed to port of entry. Orders shipped via UPS 3 Day Select, 2nd Day Air and Next Day Air have guaranteed delivery dates (see delays in delivery for exceptions).
Delays in Delivery
Costumes Inc is not responsible for delays in delivery caused by natural disasters, inclement weather, airport shutdowns, union strikes, security checks, incorrect or incomplete addresses, errors made by carrier during delivery or any other incident beyond its control. Such delays are not grounds for refusal of delivery, reduction of shipping fees or refund of purchase.
Warehouse Locations
Costumes Inc main warehouse is located in Massachusetts. We also ship from California, Utah, New York, New Jersey, North Carolina, Florida and Michigan. We are not able to tell you before placing your order where your order will ship from. It is also possible that your order may ship from more than one location. Therefore, if your order is time sensitive please choose a shipping method guaranteed to get your order to you no matter where it ships from.
Order Status and Tracking
Please visit our order status page to track the progress of your order. You will receive an electronic invoice via email within 24 hours of shipment your order. Tracking information may take up to 24 hours to appear after shipping.
US Postal Service Shipping Policy
Orders shipped via USPS airmail or priority mail are not guaranteed, can not be tracked and if lost in transit are the customer's responsibility. Orders lost in transit shipped via airmail or priority mail are not eligible for a refund or a replacement order. Order arrival times for Global Express are an approximation not a guarantee. Global Express orders can be tracked and if lost are eligible for a refund or replacement.
International Shipments
All International orders are subject to possible duties, tariffs and customs fees. These charges are the customer's responsibility and are not included in the shipping costs. Additionally, when ordering from Costumes Inc the customer is considered the importer of record and must comply with all laws and regulations of the country in which the goods are being shipped to.
Acceptance of Delivery
Customers may request "signature required" for an additional fee at the time of check out. We also offer the opportunity to provide additional delivery instructions such as "no signature required", "dog does not bite", "leave at side door", etc. If a customer does not provide any additional instructions the terms of the delivery will be at the carrier's discretion. Acceptance or non-acceptance of the order will be based on the record of the delivery or attempt of delivery by UPS.
Signature Required Deliveries
Costumes Inc offers the opportunity to request a "signature required" delivery for an additional fee. UPS will make 3 attempts to deliver a signature required package before returning it. In some areas UPS's policy requires a signature for delivery. We do not charge unless the service is specifically requested by our customer.
Oversized Packages
Certain items based on their size are considered oversized by UPS. Oversized items have additional shipping costs attached to them. Items are marked as oversized on their description pages and the additional shipping cost will be available for your viewing during checkout before final purchase.
Damaged Orders
All items are inspected prior to shipping. Any item found damaged upon arrival requires a claim be filed with the carrier by the customer within 24 hours of receipt of the merchandise. Then, please email us at DAMAGED@COSTUMESINC.COM whithin 48 hours of receipt of the merchandise. Please note that you must notify the carrier of the damage prior to our being able to address this issue with you.
Defective or Missing Items
Orders with defective items or missing pieces will have replacements shipped within 48 hours. Errors in your order should be sent to us at OOPS@COSTUMESINC.COM within 48 hours of receipt of merchandise.
